The following tips may come in handy for teachers and students getting into using blogs in instruction.

  1. Start with both post and comment moderation.
  2. Always moderate comments.
  3. Watch out for blog spam. Spam makes moderation a must.
  4. On blogger, turn on the spam protection that requires people to type a word shown as a graphic before their comment is submitted.submitted - this is called word verification.
